There’s just one problem…in some applications it’s just too heavy! So, what to do? There is a remedy. Wear-Con’s FeatherClad™, which is an Ultra-Thin, Hard-Faced, Light-Weight, Chrome Carbide Overlay Wear Plate. FeatherClad™contains an extremely high concentration of chromium carbide which provides excellent resistance to wear. With its narrow profile, FeatherClad™ is lighter and thinner than conventional hard-faced wear plates, providing premium wear resistance at a fraction of the weight and thickness for areas where weight or clearance is a concern. FeatherClad™ properties include: • Chrome Carbide Overlay Hard-Faced • 68 HRc hardness (Harder than quartz) • Ultra-Thin 5/32” thick • Light Weight • Can be rolled with wear side ID or OD down to a 4” in diameter FeatherClad™ is available in 48” x 96” (208 lbs.) sheets.
