Have you ever been in a situation when an outage or under performance of one of the system components or dependencies led to a disaster? How about an unacceptable user experience? Have you ever considered if your system could've provided better experience back then? Have you ever spent hours or even days to handle fault scenarios in your applications? I bet you had! This is another reason why we should always plan for faults. All of the distributed systems work in partially faulted state for a significant amount of time, and we discussed how we as .Net devs can make our applications more resilient in this talk. We've covered main application resilience patterns with some simple examples built with Polly and Polly-Contrib nugets. Learn more about Retry, Timeout, Fallback, Cache, Circuit Breaker and Bulkhead Isolation patterns by watching this talk.
