Cricut Maker creates large shadow boxes and other innovative designs with my Cricut Maker. Welcome to Cricut Master Design Space with Andrew Jones, (ArtisticBrit) where I teach you to step by step, from beginners to advanced, how to accomplish incredible works of art for you and those you love, using your Cricut Machines. For my birthday last year, my wife bought me a brand new Cricut Maker. And my life has not been the same ever she. I began playing with different types of materials to cut, from vinyl to 140lb watercolor paper. * made boxes for bottles, cases for media players and a few projects like T-shirt’s in school with my students, since I am a high school teacher at a vocational school in Northern New Jersey. The students were preparing for an art show at the end of May 2018 and I figured that I would create something myself for the show, to show them that I don’t just teach design, that I am an artist too, that these techniques I am teaching them what we learn pertains to almost anything we want to create. I put pencil to paper and began to design a rough layout for what was to become a massive piece, a large paper art shadow box cut and created using, the Cricut Maker. I am presently over 200 hours into this project, it measures 48 inches wide 27 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches deep. I tried getting some traction on Facebook on the Cricut homepage, but think that the images were lost in the array of products and homemade crafts, others were showing. I left it alone for a few months, then one day I was searching Facebook and come across a Facebook page of a YouTube or who seems to be doing quite well with her series of videos on Cricut and the Cricut products, such as vinyl, weeding tools, and the likes. I asked to join the Facebook group, and I posted three 3 to 5 images of different sections of the shadowbox paper art display. All I can say is that it has been eight or nine days now, and I have not stopped responding to individuals posting incredibly beautiful remarks. The love and support that I have found within these groups for the work that I have created is outstanding, and to be honest, it is almost overwhelming. The seemingly overnight success of my artwork is hitting home very hard. I have decided to revamp my channel, creating a brand new series of videos just for artwork created on the Cricut machines. With such a massive following, this would be very silly for me to not follow up on, as creating this type of thing is truly a passion of mine, so it is a win-win. This morning Ashish Arora, the CEO of Cricut contacted me through Facebook and told me he would like to talk with me via the phone at some point, to which I responded, absolutely! His head software engineer was also checking out my work, too. so it seems I have been causing quite the stir :) - I’ve only just begun, and I am determined to get noticed, enough till the point someone has to make a strong move. :) I will be showing you in the new series of videos on how to create works of art just like I do, showing you all the tips and tricks and things that I have learned along the way. At one point someone said that I am the king of cricket, I was The Cricut master, so without hesitation and like the ring of that name, I decided to buy the domain Cricutmaster.com which will eventually point to the pages of my main website. I also purchased a Cricutradio.com so that we may have a podcast that goes with the series also. I am so excited to get going with this brand new series of videos, making My SVG patterns available to the public, showing you how to use the software that I do, plus all the other really cool apps and software available to us as home users, both paid and free. Making kits available as we build these items together on YouTube. I will also be doing live videos streamed to a members-only section of my site, with the occasional video going live for the public on YouTube as well. Come along for the ride and please subscribe, and click the little bell to get notifications for when I release brand new videos. By making sure that you receive the notifications, you can interact with me on social media and be up to date with everything that is happening. Also, I have decided I will be giving away a Cricut maker in a few months from now when I have a slew of videos available and fingers crossed by then, a little bit more money to purchase a Cricut Maker for someone that wins it :D The music used within this video is licensed legally through Envato. Make Something, Learn Something, Give Something this week, we will all be better for it!
