Just kidding. Fuck changelings. Fuck changelings and everything about them, they are literally the worst antags in the entire game. Why? 1) They are literally designed to stealth-murderbone. You have to kidnap people and absorb them to get enough DNA to greentext. There are nonlethal methods but literally nobody uses them because they're shite. 2) They get a team communication channel. Thank fucking god team objectives got removed though. 3) Husking. It's bad enough when a traitor kills you and hides the body but how about 'lings RENDERING YOU UNCLONABLE!? So if you do get found there. 4) Huge combat advantage, even when compared to traitors. Armblades, cryo/toxin/mute stings, cuff melting, stun resistance, need I say more? 5) Sundowner-levels of being FUCKING INVINCIBLE. There are three ways to reliably kill a changeling and stop it from regenning. The first is to cremate it, the second is to gib it, the third(unorthodox) is to kill it and then embedd so much shit in it that it can't regenerate. 6) Horror Form. While it's an absolute joke to fight with actual good weapons(Combat Shotgun literally tears the changeling to shreds in seconds), unless RnD has been doing their job or Cargo got shotguns, you're fucked unless you run. Sure, a Holoparasite or a Nuke Op might be more of a threat in terms of range and speed but stuns ruin both of their days and you only need to deal 100 damage to crit the target and win. Horror lings are stun-immune and have 500 HP. If one of these gets on the shuttle, stay off the shuttle. 7) They can impersonate anybody they absorb in appearance and anybody of their choosing in voice. Good luck trying to catch the guy you caught in the middle of absorbing because he's probably got five or six names under his belt. 8) There are 3-5 of them on changeling rounds. This means 3-5 people all trying to kill 5-7 people each, meaning that 15-35 people need to die for the greentext. What the actual fuck, why? No other antag has to murder this fucking much. Even revs only have to kill six people who have far more power than the rest of the crew and at least then the entire crew can get in on the lynching fun. Fuck changelings.
