When it feels like you could be paralyzed, but still feel their love. You could be blind, but still see their energy. You could be deaf, but still hear them out. Even though, in these quarantine days, it feels like love has been muted, you can still feel it more than ever. ‘We don’t need our senses to sense that you love me..’ I wrote it about my best friend when I was gone touring, or really just anytime I don’t get to see someone I love. The lyrics gained more meaning for me after it motivated me to leave a toxic situation in my life that had affected me greatly, the way mute love sounds and makes me feel, helped my grief as it reminded me of what true love really is, and what it is not.
