Discover Robledo, a vibrant part of Medellín, Colombia! Located in the city's northwest, it's surrounded by the lively neighborhoods of Doce de Octubre and Castilla, and the flowing Medellín River. Named after a historical figure, Marshal Jorge Robledo, this area has been around since the 1600s. It moved to where it is now in the 1800s because of a big avalanche. The area is known for its cool rivers like La Quintana and La Iguaná, which make the land really interesting but sometimes cause flooding. Robledo is also home to UVA parks (short for "Unidades de Vida Articulada"), awesome community spots throughout Medellín where you can have a blast. They've got water play areas, games to play outside, spots for music, lots of green for picnics or chilling with a book, Wi-Fi zones, and rooms for all sorts of classes. These UVAs are all about helping families enjoy nature and learn about taking care of our planet. Come check out Robledo's UVA parks for fun and learning in the great outdoors!
