Surely this is a perfect example of the superb country sounds that were coming out of the Hadley studios in Tamworth in the early 70s. The song comes from the prolific pen of Slim Newton...and, in fact, was also recorded by Slim himself...and, by Rick & Thel Carey. This four track EP, simply titled "Gentleman" Geoff Brown, was released by Hadley in 1970...HEP 524. These days, I believe you can buy Geoff's Hadley output on CD...but, this upload is from the original EP. I have uploaded all four tracks to YouTube. Gentleman Geoff was inducted into the "Country Hands Of Fame" in 1979...he died in Tamworth in 2000, aged just 70 or 71. *** If you like my channel, why not SUBSCRIBE?
