“Derma,” Greek/Italian for “skin,” is a solo piece lasting just under half an hour, (...) amid numerous moving boxes. The theme is the search for home, for identity. Are memories stored away in boxes, or do we carry them with us like skin? Accompanied by a collage of Mozart, Italian folklore, and pop songs, fragments of radio broadcasts, and minutes of silence, the dancer feels and gropes with his hands in the air, as if trying to grasp memories from the darkness with his body.
