Khayelitsha court delivers sentence in Nosiphiwo James case

Action Society attended sentencing proceedings at the Khayelitsha Regional Court in the murder case of Nosiphiwo James. Sivuyile Tshabile was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment for murder. During sentencing, the magistrate noted that the accused showed no remorse throughout the trial and highlighted the serious levels of gender-based violence in South Africa. Action Society continues to stand with victims of violent crime, especially women and children, and to monitor cases to ensure accountability in our courts.
