For the sixth year in a row, the replicated architectural phenomenon of solar alignment on the face of the colossal statue of King Ramesses II took place on February 21st at the Grand Egyptian Museum. The phenomenon was observed over three days, February 20, 21, and 22, confirming that the sun shines on the face of King Ramesses II on the 21st only, similar to the occurrence at the Abu Simbel Temple. Thus, this cultural and touristic observance continues to be celebrated at the Grand Hall of the GEM on February 21st of each year, replicating the architectural legacy of the Great Temple of Abu Simbel’s original design. للعام السادس على التوالي، شهد المتحف المصري الكبير ظاهرة تعامد الشمس على وجه تمثال رمسيس الثاني يوم ٢١ فبراير، بعد إعادة تحقيق هذه الظاهرة هندسيًا. تم رصد الظاهرة على مدار ثلاثة أيام ٢٠، ٢١، ٢٢ فبراير، وتأكد ان تعامد الشمس على وجه الملك رمسيس الثاني يحدث يوم ٢١ فقط، مثلما يحدث في معبد أبو سمبل. وبهذا تتأكد إمكانية تحقيق احتفالية ثقافية وسياحية بساحة المتحف في مثل هذا الموعد من كل عام، ومواكبة الفاعلية الحضارية الأصلية بمعبد أبي سمبل.
