Known as the "Pass of Light," it is famous for apple orchards, Cedar trees, trout fishing, and trekking routes. Key attractions include the 15th-century Kamru Fort, Chitkul (last village), and the Bering Nag Temple. Location: Situated along the Baspa River in the Greater Himalayan Range, near the Tibetan border. Best Time to Visit: Spring (March-May) for blossoms and autumn (September-October) for apple harvesting. Winters are harsh, with temperatures dropping to -15°c Activities: Hiking, trout fishing, camping, visiting orchards, and exploring local Kinnauri culture. Key Villages: Sangla village, Chitkul, Rakcham, and Batseri. Access: Usually accessed via Shimla to Reckong Peo, then on to Sangla. The valley is renowned for its stunning, offbeat, and tranquil landscapes, often surrounded by snow-covered peaks and rich with lush green scenery. Kamru ( 28°50′N 78°51′E) was capital of the Bushahr principality. It is especially known for the tower-like fort at its highest point, which was built by Lord pandavas, thousands of year ago. According to a folklore fort there are about 33 koti(33 type) gods and goddess residing in the fort.
