Once called Brookdale-on-the-Lake, later turned into Caesars Brookdale, this place was home to the world’s first Champagne Tower Suites — giant glass whirlpools shaped like champagne flutes. It started as a small family lodge in the 1940s, grew into a Caesars resort in the 1980s, and became known for its heart-shaped tubs, Roman Tower suites, and even visits from boxing legends like Sugar Ray Leonard. But by 2008, it shut down and was left behind to rot.
