National Herald Case: Fresh FIR Names Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Congress Cries Vendetta | India Today

A fresh FIR has been registered by the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing in the National Herald case, naming senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. The FIR, based on a complaint from the Enforcement Directorate, also names Sam Pitroda and alleges criminal conspiracy in the fraudulent takeover of Associated Journals Limited (AJL) and its assets, reportedly worth ₹2,000 crore. The Congress party has strongly reacted, calling the move 'intimidation and vendetta by the BJP'. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh stated that the party will fight the case legally, asserting that 'justice will ultimately triumph'.
