WCRP Climate Research Forum - Oceania - February 2021

This Climate Research Forum was held in collaboration with the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (AMOS) and formed part of the AMOS Annual Conference 2021, which had a theme of 'Science for Impact,' and that took place online from 8 - 12 February 2021. This Session was the first World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) Climate Research Forum worldwide, designed for the Oceania region and focusing on Australia. The Chair and Vice-Chair of WCRP’s Joint Scientific Committee (JSC; the scientific steering body for the WCRP) described the new WCRP, followed by a series of short talks from leading Australian climate researchers and stakeholders in the private sector: Professor Christian Jakob (Monash University): The future of Earth System Modelling Dr Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick (University of New South Wales): What has WCRP done for me?
