Yotei, and luckily we had an opportunity where it had been several days since the last snowfall and the sun came out so we jumped on it. Mt. Yotei is a volcano that can be seen from the slopes of every resort in Niseko, Japan and is only around a 30 minute drive away. After some research we saw avalanche risk was rated as "low" and also found a trailhead that was rated as an easy route up the volcano. Of course we all brought our avalanche gear with us, and really enjoyed getting outside for a hike up the volcano. We were able to enjoy sunshine and great views while getting more acquainted with splitboarding technique. Overall it was an amazing day and I am really looking forward to more splitboard adventures this season. Thanks for watching!
