2 Vintage Hobico Avistars vs. 2 inexperienced pilots

Me and my buddy got these 2 almost perfect vintage Hobico Avistars at the Dee and Mee Hobby store in Topeka, KS! both of us were super excited, eager to fly with ZERO experience in RC flight! I have quite a bit of knowledge on Nitro engines, as i own a few nitro cars, so got these babies purring beautifully in no time. BUT we didn't even think of trying to train on a simulator, so inevitably the planes are now in ruins! But, the bug has bitten both of us, and while we're both shopping for repair parts, were also learning on a simulator! Maybe this video will stop other eager beavers out there to go mess up perfect nitro planes because they, like us, thinks it pretty simple to just go out and fly an RC plane 😅😅
