At a joint press conference, Arafat also said his side was "committed to cooperate with Mr. Netanyahu and his government regardless of our political opinions." SHOWS: EREZ JUNCTION, SEPTEMBER 4, 1996 WS of presser; Israeli Premier Netanyahu and PLO Chairman Arafat enter presser; Netanyahu SOT: "After my talks today we can observe that both parties reiterate their commitment to the interim agreement but we have to take into account the needs and requirements on the basis of recipricocity, for both Palestinians and Israelis alike. I have heard in the Palestinian press quarters that we are going to fragment the porcess. This is not true. We want to advance the issues of concern to all of us. I also want to make clear, that our position is not only to move on the peace process but also improve the prosperity and the economic conditions of the Palestinian people. Peace and prosperity move hand in hand and we can advance to achieve both goals.
