He was named the 1995 Police Officer of the Year by the South Carolina Rotary Club and currently serves as executive director of The Institute for Criminal Justice Training Reform. Shrewsberry was mildly cheered when he penned an essay titled: “I Was A Racist Cop.” He admits working with Race Soldiers who told racist jokes, called black people, niggers, while he silently co-signed this behavior.
