And so, the teeth had deteriorated to the point where they needed great attention and was determined that we really couldn't save them. The teeth that I were missing were mostly in the back, and so it affected my eating more than anything else. But then, I started losing teeth in the lower front also. Dr. Mauricio Moeller: When Keith came in, he knew he had to do something. He had neglected his oral care for many, many years. And he's gotten to a point where he knew he had to do something drastic. When he came in, what we did is we extracted all his teeth. All his teeth had a poor prognosis. And what we decided to do would be best for him is we placed implants in the upper jaw, implants in the lower jaw, and then we gave him a lower implant supported overdenture and an upper implant supported overdenture. Keith: The procedure that I ended up having done was completely explained to me how it would be done, what it would look like when I was done, what the cost involved would be, what my insurance would cover and would not cover. Before any decision was made, it was explained very, very clearly to me. Dr. Mauricio: Since we've done it, Keith has been smiling more. He's been more outgoing, and it really has changed him. I think that's the most important part. Keith: I would highly recommend Dr. Moeller and his staff here. The care that they show, the friendliness, the promptness, the attention to detail. I probably have been in half a dozen times to have minor adjustments made on these dentures because your gums change slightly every so often. They encourage you to come in if there's any problem. And when you do come in, it's taken care of and they at least appear to be more than happy to do that.
