Jon's organized a day of fly fishing, much to Garfield's dismay. Garfield thinks fishing is boring, and he'd rather stay home napping anyway. To make things worse, it’s really hot, and the fish aren't biting. Just then, Jon finally catches something! When he looks away for a second, Odie lets the little fish go because he feels sorry for it. But then Odie ends up getting dragged down into the water with it! At the bottom of the pond, Odie becomes friends with the fish he saved, as does Garfield who soon joins them. The two of them visit the underwater world and have all kinds of adventures!
