East Coast Mainline, Lineside Spotting at Abbots Ripton Crossing | 26/09/17

This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 2160p 4K HD! I've never filmed from a lineside location on the East Coast Mainline at all, only ever at a station. A friend of mine recommended this spot as a good place to go. This is "White House" foot crossing near the small village of Abbots Ripton which is on the ECML between Huntingdon & Peterborough. An impressive location, nice & peaceful and offering some incredible, ground shaking close ups of the trains at full speed. (Just hold on to your tripod!) I was here for just over 2 hours and here's what I managed to catch! INCLUDES: Virgin East Coast HST's & 225's, East Midlands HST (operating for VTEC), Hull Trains 180's, Grand Central HST & 180, Great Northern 365's & 387, GBRF 66, 2x DB Schenker (EWS) class 66's & a DB 90 on the back of a VTEC service. Also a few of the special liveried Virgin power cars & 91's to look out for as well! So all in all, a pretty successful few hours lineside on the ECML. Plenty of variety & lots to look out for.
