But in addition to what the AI Smart builder built, I needed a way to add multiple job site photos to each daily report AND upload them all at once. That's where the new Quickbase File Manager plugin comes in! 🙌 Before diving into the plugin, there's some prep work involved: 🛠 Ensure you have permission to install plugins. 🛠 Identify the parent table for file uploads (in my case, it was the "Field Reports" table). 🛠 Create a new table for storing uploaded files (I named mine "Files"). 🛠 Set up a relationship between the two tables. 🛠 Decide how file deletions should be handled. With the prep work done, it's time to install the plugin! 🥳 Head to the application settings, click on "Plugins", and select the "File Manager Plugin". You'll then configure upload settings like file size, max files, and deletion behavior. Once installed, Quickbase automatically creates a new Formula URL field on the parent table. This field launches the file manager plugin with a single click. Now that the File Manager plugin is installed, we can upload multiple photos in one action! Plus, there are MANY ways to customize its appearance and behavior to suit your needs.🔥🔥🔥 And don't worry about mobile – the file manager plugin works seamlessly on mobile devices too.
