Time attack of Huge Crisis Act 1 in Sonic Rush, with Blaze, in 1:18.10, ran on my new 3DS XL capture card. Very good run for what this level entails! This has a really obnoxious skip that's incredibly difficult for Blaze, and I wanted a relatively clean run that got it first try, and I got it despite a few minor other timelosses here and there. 0:08 - Important height-perfect trick here to break speed cap and conserve boost. I reset if I fail this. 0:24 - There's actually a different strat nameless_spectre does here when falling into this gap that's a bit faster, but I opt for what speedbreaker55 does as it's more reliable. 0:33 - Another important height-perfect trick. This one is incredibly important to nail, so missing this is a reset. 0:48 - I hopped a bit early and bopped a badnik which lost me a bit of time, but following that, this is the aforementioned up trick that kills runs. This is incredibly difficult to nail, and I reset if I don't get this first try (it can take up to over 20 tries to get it sometimes!). Sonic can trivially clear it as he has enough speed to get enough height to make it, but Blaze... doesn't, so this level is astronomically harder for her. 0:53 - Want to land on this downhill section to break speed cap and store that speed throughout the next handful of seconds by hovering INTO the ledge/ground at 0:58 while constantly holding right. 1:01 - Other small timeloss here. I jumped way too high so this is a minor mistake, but again because of the awful up trick skip earlier, I was willing to keep this.
