The latest track! I have waited to release it because this is a special occasion! I have just placed two complete albums on itunes! Since I tend to compose all sorts of styles, I decided to release two separate albums, just to keep similar songs together. "Genesis III" (the fire album) features 12 metal tracks, including this new one. "Halcyon" (the blue album) features 12 relaxing and light rock songs, including Mellow Guitar. All of the tracks on both albums are available right here on my youtube channel. Genesis III http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/gene... Halcyon http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/halc... I owe thanks everyone that has listened to my music. Two years ago, I had no idea that my work would become this successful. Thanks to friends and subscribers, I believe that I can achieve success. My goal is not to be rich or famous. The idea behind making music is that it helps people. No matter what we are going through, I think that music can provide relief. Whether you are headbanging to a great metal track, or relaxing with a calm and mellow track, there is music for every situation. I write instrumental music for a couple of reasons. First, I am a lousy singer, and I know for a fact that I would make my own music worse. Second, when a track is instrumental, there is the challenge of trying to keep the listener interested through melody and rhythm alone. It's very easy to make boring music. It's incredibly difficult to write a catchy track, and even more difficult to consistently create hit songs. It doesn't surprise me that many bands fade away as one-hit wonders. For me, I look at the progress I have made since I started. My very first youtube uploads make me laugh now, but I leave them up here because it shows what you can accomplish when you really dedicate yourself to something. If anyone has been keeping up with my track info, you might remember that I lost my job while completing "The Price of Freedom". The good news is I have sinced moved, and I have landed a new job! I have been working for a couple months, and things are looking up. I may not be cranking out tracks like before, but I promise that Iwill strive to deliver quality music. I make it a goal to write better music with each track, and I spend more time per song now than I used to. I have already started writing my next album, and while it will not be finished for a long time, I will continue releasing each track here on youtube as I finish them. Think of my albums and tracks as a way to support me if you feel inclined. I have always emailed my tracks as mp3's for free to listeners who ask for them. I will of course continue to do this, because anyone who wants to listen to my music has the right to!! In my opinion, music is the one thing that I can do in order to help as many people as possible. My day job will never have the same kind of impact on others that music can. Once again, I want to thank all of you. If you have read this far, I am impressed! Thank you for being a true fan, and for listening to my tracks! Feel free to send me a message or leave a comment, I try my best to respond to everyone. And sooner or later, when I have some more free time and money, I plan to create a website with tabs for all the songs I write. It will obviously take a while, but I promise it will happen! Just in case anyone is wondering, this song title is a play on Occam's Razor. I like the idea and the name is awesome. I changed it to Anthem, because this track is actually heavily based on both The Anthem and The Anthem II. Certain chords and riffs are directly lifted from those two tracks, but now they have the added firepower of distortion, heavy drums, and lots of lead work ftw!! Props to Ed Rick for recording all of the drums on this track! The video is a mix of two things. The background images are thanks to those listed below. I edited the images together into a slide show and added effects. I also used a program called the MAM Player to generate the visual display of notes.
