Jamie Lambing scored 24 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead Burlington City to a 77-57 victory over Delran in a Burlington County Scholastic League Freedom Division matchup in Burlington. The Blue Devils (11-11) took control early, building a 22-14 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 43-25 by halftime. Burlington City continued its dominance in the third quarter, outscoring Delran 21-8 to put the game out of reach. Rashad Newkirk added 22 points for Burlington City, including two 3-pointers and a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. The win helped Burlington City maintain its third-place position in the BCSL Freedom Division at 6-4, behind Doane Academy (8-2). Delran (12-10) saw its two-game winning streak snapped despite a 13-point effort from Andrew Reim, who connected on three 3-pointers. Jack Jordan contributed 11 points, including two 3-pointers and 4-for-4 shooting from the free-throw line. The Blue Devils showcased their shooting prowess, hitting 13 3-pointers as a team compared to Delran’s five. Burlington City’s balanced attack featured nine different players in the scoring column. Delran did manage to outscore Burlington City 24-13 in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too large to overcome. With the victory, Burlington City strengthens its position in eighth place in South Jersey, Group 1 Power Points, solidifying its chances for the state tournament where the top 16 teams qualify. Delran currently sits in 15th place in Central Jersey, Group 2 Power Points, putting it on the bubble for state tournament qualification. City Wins 77-57
