🍅🍺 Tomato Festival in Almería | €1 Beer, Tapas & Market Stalls! 🇪🇸 Guess who I picked up from the airport this morning… she’s back! ✈️💃 After a very quick coffee at home (literally five minutes!) we headed straight out to the annual Tomato Festival at Federico García Lorca — because when you’re in the tomato capital of the world, you have to celebrate properly! 🍅🎉 We came last year but the weather was awful, so this time I brought the camera along… and yes, it’s loud — you might want the volume down and subtitles on! 😅 For just €1 per ticket, you get: 🍅 A bag of tomatoes 🍺 A beer (Cruzcampo) or 🥣 A bottle of gazpacho 🍞 Plus a little tapa Bargain, right? (Once we found some cash… because yes, it was cash only and involved a quick dash to Unicaja 🏦😂) We wander through the artisan market stalls filled with: 🧀 Cheeses 🌭 Salchichas & chorizos 🥖 Breads & empanadas 🫒 Olive oils 🕯️ Candles & handmade crafts Everything looks amazing… even if some of it is a bit “artisan-priced”! Then it’s beer and tapa time — simple, tasty and €1 well spent. We even spotted some festival pros who came fully prepared with their own supplies! Later, we hop on bus number 5 (and of course get off one stop too early 🙄) before heading to La Guajira for dinner, more tapas, and another beer. Don’t you just love it when a bar knows your order before you even ask?
