PEAK WAY WALK STAGE 4

Stage 4 of the long-distance Peak Way Walk takes us from Hope to our destination at Bamford. As we ascend towards Hope Cross, there are lovely views of the Vale of Edale, before we descend through woods to arrive at the Derwent Visitor Centre. Then we walk right past the legendary Derwent Dam where the 'Dambusters' famously practiced using the 'bouncing bomb' before climbing across open moorland to Derwent Edge. We continue along Derwent Edge with superb views before descending to Cutthroat Bridge. The final leg of the walk ascends Bamford Edge with wonderful views all around, and especially the view of Ladybower Reservoir. Then we make a final steep descent down Bamford Clough to our destination of Bamford.
