In this video I throw a large salad bowl. I use some techniques that are useful when throwing large. I divide my clay to center. This clay is very smooth and quite soft, so i have to throw quite efficiently and without too much water. Key take away: wheel throwing intermediate, choosing clay, throwing larger The YELLOW RIB featured in nearly every video has been with me for years and I use it for shaping, refining & compressing. I would never want to be without. It's hard to loose... and it just carries on. Along with my wheel - this is with me for the long haul! I would strongly recommend it here: https://amzn.to/4amaYIX (Yellow out of stock. Green one here) The GIFFEN GRIP has been an invaluable tool when it comes to saving time and mounting multiple pieces for trimming and glazing.
