Out Of Harms Way is part of the four track split EP 'Folklore Vol.1' The limited edition 7" vinyl is available exclusively via www.folkloresessions.co.uk Available to buy and stream via Spotify & Apple Music. Ran and hosted by Brighton singer-songwriter Jacko Hooper, Folklore Sessions is all about highlighting the very best music from across the country in an intimate environment for music lovers and artists alike. Not to be restricted by genre, Folklore has hosted bands and solo artists from rock, electronica, folk, soul and more. What ties them together is the calibre of song writing and the stripped back performances to highlight the core of their songs and the honesty within the lyrics they scribe. Once a month a showcase of the most recent finds is had at the home of Folklore, The White Rabbit in Brighton. Having hosted nearly 100 different acts at the monthly sessions, as well as stages at Together The People Festival and Brighton Fringe respectively, the time has come to start releasing records of some of Folklore’s discoveries since launch back in September 2014. George Ogilvie, the Canterbury-born singer/songwriter started writing music at 18. In just a few years, he had built a notable viral fanbase and subsequent online presence through posting regular videos - they fell in love with his heartfelt, natural vocal and song writing talents. Throwing himself into the local music scene in Kent, George’s musical influences would grow: from Bon Iver, Sharon Van Etten and John Martyn to soul and jazz legends like Ray Charles & Nina Simone. Last year his raw, honest song writing saw him streak into the Top 10 on Hype Machine as well as bringing him tastemaker acclaim from the likes of MAHOGANY, BBC and CLASH Magazine amongst others. George works very closely with Mercury award winning producer Jonathan Quarmby and has opened for the likes of Gabrielle Aplin and Jack Savoretti.
