Control Resonant moves away from the investigative feel of the first game and leans into a more psychological thriller vibe. While Control Resonant shares the DNA of its predecessor, it can be compared to Alan Wake 2 for its surreal narrative depth and atmospheric world-building within the same universe. However, its combat shift toward Dylan Faden’s volatile nature draws strong parallels to the aggressive power fantasy of Returnal and the supernatural anti-hero feel of Infamous Second Son. It balances the creative environmental manipulation seen in Dishonored with a psychological intensity similar to Hellblade, specifically regarding how Dylan’s unstable mental state and internal voices directly distort the game’s reality and mechanics. Description: Set in the aftermath of the Hiss invasion, Control Resonant flips the script by placing players in control of Dylan Faden. No longer the catatonic prisoner of the Panopticon, Dylan has been "rehabilitated" by the FBC under Jesse’s watchful eye. However, his mind remains a battleground.
