EPIC 1955 Otis POP OUT & 1970s US Traction Elevators (TBM??) at Tacoma Rhodes Center in Tacoma, WA

Filmed on January 4th, 2023 with ‪@WestCoastElevators‬. Happy Easter Everyone! I hope the Easter Bunny was good to everyone here, and that everyone has had a wonderful day with their families and friends! To Celebrate, I figured we'd do so with something EPIC! And I figured, why not do so with an UPDATED 2023 Retake of these AMAZING Elevators at the Tacoma Rhodes Center in Downtown Tacoma! Everyone here who's watched my videos as well as the videos of other users all know and LOVE these elevators! Otis Pop Out is without a DOUBT one of the RAREST Elevator fixtures EVER, and as of the past few years, they've been getting EVER RARER as many of the few surviving known ones have been getting modernized lately. Fortunately, this Amazing Elevator STILL LIVES ON in it's original condition 68 YEARS later, as does the neighboring U.S. Square Button Elevator (that I think may have replaced another Otis Pop Out elevator judging by the location of the call stations for the Pop Out car)! Since these elevators were last filmed, not a whole lot has changed here, they run JUST AS GREAT as ever, all of the buttons are working properly, they're very fast for the amount of floors and All in All, this is just an Incredibly EPIC Set of two VERY DIFFERENT but both VERY AWESOME Elevators (obviously though I like the Pop Out way more than the U.S.)!!! These elevators are ones that definitely cannot be missed when visiting the area, however, as of right now, this building is currently being renovated, and the elevators had signs in the back of the cabs saying "Renovation in Progress" with renderings of new elevator cabs when this was taken. As a result, I do fear that these elevators could be on their way out, however as of ‪@wacaliftsintl‬'s most recent visit to this building, both elevators were still original but the U.S. Elevator has gotten a new cab since this was taken. I'm really hoping that all that happens if anything is that these just get new cabs and nothing more than that, but we'll see what happens. If this does end up being the end for these however, I'm definitely glad that I've now gotten to film these elevators NOT ONCE, Not TWICE but THREE times and they will definitely be remembered for their Uniqueness and Extreme Rarity. But hopefully this doesn't end up being the case. With that all being said, Happy Easter Everyone, and I hope you guys enjoy a video featuring some rides on these VERY EPIC, RARE & FAMOUS Otis Pop Out & U.S. Square Button Elevators at the now NEWLY RENOVATED Tacoma Rhodes Center! Installed in 1955 (Otis Pop Out Elevator) & Circa 1970s (U.S. Square Button Elevator, this elevator may or may not have totally replaced a 2nd Otis Pop Out Elevator).
