Join IMS intern and AOC Archaeology conservator, Emma Griffiths as she demonstrates the use of a Mercury Spill Kit in the care and conservation of collection items. Vlog was created as part of the 'Powering Our People' project. 'Powering Our People' - Industrial Heritage Conservation, Skills & Knowledge, was a two-year multi-stranded project developed by Industrial Museums Scotland (IMS) to upskill staff and volunteers in industrial collections and conservation care. Through the provision of specialist conservation training opportunities for IMS workforces, knowledge connection and exchange events, and the creation of an industrial conservation internship, the project created a more confident and empowered industrial heritage workforce to support levels of conservation and collections care in the industrial heritage sector and build future resilience. The project was supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Museums Galleries Scotland, The Headley Trust, Pilgrim Trust, Historic Environment Scotland and the Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust.
