PHARMANAGEN strategic project

Navarrabiomed biomedical research center leads the development of the PHARMANAGEN project, an initiative funded by the Department of Economic and Business Development of the Government of Navarre within the framework of the regional call to foster strategic R&D projects 2018-2020 (GEMA challenge of Genomics and Advanced Medicine). The coordination of the project has fallen to the Genomic Medicine Research Unit of the center in collaboration with the Bioinformatics Unit, the Pharmacy Service of the Navarra Hospital Complex and Pharmamodelling biotech company. PHARMANAGEN is part of the Navarrabiomed NAGEN Program with other three studies: NAGEN 1000, NAGENCOL and NAGEN PEDIATRICS (currently in progress). This strategic Program seeks to implement genomic analysis technology and the use of the information obtained for accurate diagnosis and treatment in the Navarre public health system in order to put the region at the forefront of national personalized precision medicine.
