Welcome to Design Build Fly UW! Here you can see a sneak preview of the day-to-day operations of the club. What is DBF? DBF is an inter-collegiate competition where teams design, build, and fly an RC aircraft based on challenging competition specs defined by the AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics). Our team motto is Educate and Compete; we strive to educate members to develop hands-on engineering experience while passionately competing to be one of the top teams in the competition. Why should you join DBF? DBF has been on an upward trajectory of competitiveness over the last few years, with a large talent pool of dedicated students who are supported by companies like Boeing, ElectroImpact, Janicki, etc. We provide opportunities to everyone regardless of class standing and experience and ensure that every member is brought up to speed and educated on how to build a plane.
