Train Up A Child | Baby Dedication Message Children are a gift from God, and with that gift comes a sacred responsibility. In this message, we explore the biblical meaning of dedicating a child to the Lord and what it truly means to train up a child in the way he should go (Proverbs 22:6). Drawing from Scripture, we examine the Hebrew word Kanak, which reveals that training a child involves setting boundaries, initiating them into the fundamentals of life, disciplining them in love, and ultimately dedicating them to God. From the beginning of Scripture, God’s desire has been for faith to be passed from generation to generation. Parents are called not only to provide for their children physically, but to guide them spiritually by modelling a life that honors God. This message challenges parents, future parents, and the church family to consider the powerful role they play in shaping the next generation of believers.
