At the moment seven of our training centers are operational across three provinces with over 1,690 women enrolled. We're relieved that we've been able to reopen in some areas, but we are extremely concerned about the women in other locations for whom our program was offering a lifeline in the face of a humanitarian crisis and crippling economic situation. Without all of our female staff being able to work, we cannot reach women in Afghanistan with the support they need and deserve. So, we are continuing our efforts alongside other local, international and UN agencies to advocate for an end to the ban. Afghan women deserve the right to work, to learn and take part in the life of their country. We will not give up until they are able to do so. We work with the most marginalized women in the most difficult places. And we stay for the long term—helping to create access and opportunity. Within two years, our graduates report a five-fold increase in daily income. At enrollment, women earn an average of 41 cents a day—compared to $1.98 two years after graduation. Invest in a woman today. And together, we can make a change.
