String Quartet No. 2 - Nick Komarnicki (StaffPad and Berlin First Chairs)

Original composition written for string quartet(2 violins, viola, and cello). A personal piece that I began writing in February to reflect a lot of my anxieties and sadness over the many injustices both financially, environmentally and socially in the world which reached a breaking point this year over the invasion of Ukraine. I continued writing this piece over the last several months, turning to composing as a creative outlet for my mental health struggles. It contains 4 movements, the first two of which are fast and meant to be anxious and driving while the second two slow things down for reflection.
