Grayson Thermal Systems CTMS: next-gen thermal management for e-buses

At Busworld Europe 2025, Grayson Thermal Systems unveiled its most advanced thermal-management solutions for electrified buses and coaches. The highlight was the CTMS RM-series, a roof-mounted, reversible heat-pump system integrating passenger and driver climate control, battery thermal management, and power-electronics cooling in a single module. With up to 40kW of cooling and high-voltage support up to 900V DC, the RM-series is engineered for efficiency, modularity, and comfort on vehicles from 8 to 24 metres. Also on display, the CTMS CM-series, a compact chassis-mounted system, delivers up to 10kW cooling for electric commercial and off-highway vehicles, offering full integration of battery, power-electronics, and driver-cabin thermal management. Grayson showcased its proprietary thermal-control platform, intelligent software managing multiple coolant loops, and new high-voltage components like EW3/EW4 PTC heaters and PE1-800V DC coolers.
