Floating under a domed sapphire crystal is a massive 14mm balance wheel, suspended by twin polished arches, literally beating time in front of your eyes. Hours and minutes hover on a subdial at 2 o’clock, with a power reserve at 6. The EVO treatment adds 80m of water resistance, a screw-down crown, and MB&F’s patented FlexRing shock absorber, turning this sci-fi horology into something you can actually wear every day. Inside is MB&F’s first in-house caliber, co-developed with Kari Voutilainen, now upgraded to a 60-hour power reserve and equipped with a Straumann double hairspring for stability. The finishing on the back is pure 19th-century pocket watch inspiration; Geneva waves, polished bevels, gold chatons, blued screws, but darkened with EVO flair. Two versions are available: a salmon dial plate and a peacock green dial that shifts color depending on the light. Both are limited, both are striking, and both remind us what watchmaking is capable of when a brand builds for passion, not for mass market.
