In this video, we take a first look at, and diagnose the issues of, this antique GE fan motor & speed control. This motor came in for basic diagnosis and repair. We evaluate the condition of the speed control wiring and take a look inside the motor. What we find is far from good! While the speed control wiring was an easy fix, the armature contact assembly is completely ruined. This video serves as a basis for communication with the owner about possible the condition of the motor and what can be done going forward.
