“The first time I saw you… I swiped right.” || Kelsey & Steve’s Gorgeous Whistle Bear Wedding

Kelsey & Steve met on Bumble just over seven years ago. They did long distance for the first year as Kelsey had already signed up and paid to go abroad for school, literally JUST before they met. They considered keeping the relationship casual because Kelsey would be leaving so soon and for so long, but something inside both told them they had a good thing going and not to let a good thing go. Luckily, Steve was able to come and visit Kelsey for some of her time abroad, and they travelled Europe together for a few weeks. Since then, they have enjoyed travelling all over together! They are both extremely social and outgoing, but felt that they are shy and awkward in front of the camera - I think not - look at them! They make fun of each other endlessly (in a good way), eat way too much takeout, and about 99.9% of their conversations are done in various made-up accents. They got engaged two summers ago in British Columbia on a really gorgeous hike. They bought their first house together and got a hyper/loving/crazy lab puppy named Milo. “To us, marriage is a lifelong commitment to our best friend. It is the first step in building our family together. We are choosing to get married because we love the heck out of each other, and we want to celebrate our love with all of our family and closest friends present.” Here’s the list of things they were most excited about for their wedding: -sharing vows...excited but nervous too :') -seeing each other in the aisle for the first time -special moments with friends and family -speeches -first dance (again, excited but nervous too :') -partying with friends and family and dancing our buts off on the dance floor!!! It was a perfect weather day at Whistle Bear in Kitchener. Kelsey and Steve’s vows were an absolute highlight, as well as their striking decor and florals. The day was planned impeccably thanks to the Whistle Bear team, Kelsey’s attention to detail, and her wedding planner BFF, Diana. The visuals of the day, including the robes Kelsey’s wedding party got ready in, the archway at their ceremony location, the decor in the reception space, their first dance accompanied by sparklers, a champagne tower and dress change, and a super stylish photo booth built an absolutely spectacular looking day. But it didn’t just look good, it felt good too. They were so happy to be together and in love and celebrating with these special people to them, and it was such a joy to capture and tell that story.
