A large stone was rolled in front of the tomb, and Roman guards were placed there. Everything seemed quiet and hopeless. The disciples were afraid, confused, and sad. They did not yet understand that Jesus would rise again. For them, it felt like everything was over. But even in the silence, God was still working. God’s plan did not stop at the cross. The resurrection was coming. From a Reformed perspective, this reminds us that God is always in control, even when we do not understand what He is doing. Sometimes God’s people must wait in darkness before they see His victory. Faith means trusting God even when everything seems silent and uncertain. 📖 Bible Readings: Matthew 26:56 Matthew 27:57–66 Isaiah 53:9 Psalm 27:13–14 Lamentations 3:25–26 Romans 8:28 John 19:38–42 👨🏻‍💻 Teachings: The three overwhelming emotions of the disciples: 1. When nothing seems to happen and I do not understand Your ways, remind me that You are still working even in what feels like loss or tragedy. Teach me to wait patiently and not lose heart when You seem silent. Help me rest in Your perfect plan, even when I cannot see the outcome. Strengthen my faith to trust Your timing and Your promises. Assure me that, just as the resurrection came, Your goodness will be revealed in Your time.
