Here’s a scene from “Killer at Large”, the eighth season premiere of the 1978-91 CBS drama “Dallas.” This was the 1st episode (162nd overall) of the eighth season. This episode originally aired on Friday, September 28, 1984. Edgar Randolph (Martin E. Brooks) started off as a federal land contracting official who clashed with J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman). J.R. blackmailed Edgar and destroyed his career. At the end of his rope, Randolph tries to shoot J.R., but misses and he is taken into custody as the suspected shooter of J.R.’s brother Bobby (Patrick Duffy). Edgar vows revenge. Martin E.
