I continue the testing of a “tool” of my design for acrylic pouring ... but, instead of a cup this time, we’re playing with a cookie cutter for extra fun. I show you how to customize the cookie cutter and then show you a beautiful dirty pour it created. I checked DollarTree.com but unfortunately you have to order a case (24!!) ▪️Blue nozzle bottles : I order these from eBay... they take a couple of weeks to receive goo.gl/LMC6Uf ———————————————— = PAINT MIXING I add roughly 1 part paint to 2 (sometimes 3) parts Pouring Medium (I am comfortable “eyeballing” amounts because I’ve come to realize that having the same consistency/thickness, for each of your mixed paints, is more important than the ratios of medium to paint. ) I then add a tiny amount of water if necessary to get my paint to be the consistency of really warm honey or heavy cream. The amount of water will depend on the type of acrylic paint you used ... Flow acrylic (runny like house paint) will need very little water if any, while medium to heavy body paint (thick like toothpaste) will need more water. Try to limit the amount of water that you use ... too much will break down the binding properties of the acrylic paint. How much is too much? Try to keep the amount of water to under 25% of the amount of paint if you can. ——————————————— = SEALING Once my paintings dry, I spray them with a low odor, user-friendly, crystal clear, museum-quality varnish designed for acrylics, oils and watercolors. It gives a glossy finish. Here is a link: http://amzn.to/2jGh3KO When I want to spray a matte/satin finish instead, I use this: http://amzn.to/2fvgYF0 This was done on a 10 x 10 inch canvas. Thank you in advance for watching the videos, sharing them, commenting and leaving a thumbs up. Your kindness helps my channel continue and it is all greatly appreciated! May the alcohol inks, resin, and paints be kind, and may the pours be with you. 😊💕
