Soldiers passing munitions from arms cache STORYLINE: Pakistan's army announced Wednesday that its forces operating in the South Waziristan tribal agency made a huge seizure of weapons, computers and other high-tech equipment in a raid on a local tribesman. As part of their hunt for terrorist hideouts, Pakistan's security forces have deployed tens of thousands of troops in its tribal regions bordering Afghanistan which are believed to be a possible hiding place of al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden. The army did not say whether the computers contained any information on terror suspects. A video released by the military showed soldiers digging through the floor of a house and uncovering the cache of laptop computers, detonators, and communication and surveillance equipment hidden in a hidden cellar. The seizure took place in Shakai, a village to the north of the area's main town, Wana. Fighting continues to plague this area, a week after the army pounded a suspected training facility for foreign militants in the region, killing more than 60 people. A security official said on condition of anonymity that on Tuesday, assailants ambushed an army convoy in the area, killing three soldiers and wounding seven others.
