I made this faux commercial specifically for the 2006 Faux Film Festival. I had a film, JIMMY'S HOUSE OF HUGS, in the 2005 festival (which won an audience award). I loved the festival so much that I wanted to be a part in the 2006 festival. Mike, the festival director, said that he needed more faux commercials and trailers. So I thought that I could use footage I already had and come up with some kind of commercial or trailer. I then thought, hey, why not do a faux commercial that is both faux and for Faux. (Except is it really faux?) So I used footage from films my boyfriend, Jeremy Ward, and I had done in film school between 2002 and 2005. The 2008 Faux Film Festival will be held March 27th through 30th at the Hollywood Theater in Portland, Oregon. I encourage all you spoof filmmakers to submit and all you Portland people to go!
