Right, let's get on with it then...) HAKIN HOMOS ON THE JOB: THE DESTRUCTION OF GOODWICK The one you all avn't been waiting for. The movie that made history by becoming the first film from Pembrokeshire and the first film about football to place at The Cannes Film Festival, coming a respectable 17,252nd in the Best Foreign Film category. DAISY PICTON'S BIG DAY OUT, the trailer for which appears at the start of this film, came 22nd in an Albanian Gay and Lesbian Film festival two months later: another first for Hakin United. The credit sequence/introduction to this film is ridiculously long, deliberately so in order to squeeze in other footage before we actually get to the Goodwick game, a game and a performance that seemed to encapsulate everything that was good about Hakin football, a special day under the sun. Homos was made to celebrate the Vikings' league and cup double and the Stiffs' third league title on the bounce. (Apologies to the Goodwick boys for calling them c****. This was a joke as I am sure you know, so I hope you don't give me a pasting next time I am in the Goodwick Fishguard area, alright?)
