Satpura Siblings - a journey into the lesser explored tiger reserve of Madhya Pradesh

Satpura National Park is in Madhya Pradesh. Madhai and Churna are popular gates for entry into the park. Madhai has greater number of accommodation options. Bhopal is the nearest airport for both the gates. Itarsi is a convenient station on the Howrah-Mumbai line. I planned my trip via MP Tourism. I stayed at MPT Bison Resort. The ferry starts from just outside their resort. One has to take the ferry to cross Madhai river to start the safari from Madhai Gate. The same is included in the permit of Jungle safari. My safaris were also booked by MP Tourism. At least 4 safaris are recommended. I planned one day for safari in Churna zone by entering through Madhai Gate. Post morning safari, one has to rest at Churna Forest Bungalow. And once afternoon safari starts, one travels through the forest back to Madhai Gate.
