Happy new year, guys and gals! We got a new Everlast PowerMTS 251si for the shop. This thing is a WHOPPER of a welder, and doesn't even come close to fitting on the cart we have for the Millermatic 140. Solution? Build one from scratch that fits it perfectly! This is a fairly simple build that uses 2"x2" square tubing for the main frame, 1"x1" square tubing for the upper shelf and supports, some angle iron and 14ga mild steel sheet, as well as a a bit of scrap 3/8" plate that I found for the caster plates on the bottom and a few other odds and ends. Since this is a multi-process welder that requires different shielding gasses for different processes, one thing I wanted to make sure of is that the cart would accommodate two different gas bottles - one for C25, and another for 100% argon. I added a shelf on the back that handles that task just fine, and used a gas splitter valve from Amazon and some custom made hoses to allow both bottles to stay connected to the welder at all times, with independent shutoffs. This allows you to select whatever gas you want depending on the process you're running, and it makes switching on the fly extremely easy. Here's the gas splitter on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008BJG4KC/... Thanks for watching!
