To schedule a consultation, reach out to his team at: https://HopeCataract.com / doctorkrad In this video, I share a real patient's results after cataract surgery. She had the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) in both eyes. With the LAL, we usually expect the far distance vision to be very good, but luckily her near vision is also very good! How near should one target if planning for mini-monovision? Is the near vision as good as an EDOF (extended depth of focus lens)? The LAL is a monofocal lens but some people can get surprisingly good intermediate distance vision. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section below! Within a healthy eye is a clear lens. As we become older, that lens becomes cloudy. The cloudy lens is called a Cataract. In cataract surgery, the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens implant.
